This was a challenging activity for me because I don't

know much about equivalent fractions. I think I need to have a better understanding on equivalent fractions before I can do this again.

Angel had 341 Counters and she gave away 297. How many counters does Angel have now?

300-200=100

100-90-7=3

3-41=44 counters

There were 224 students at the stadium then 977 students came later.  How many students were at the stadium?

200+900=1100

20+70=90

11+1100+90=1201 students.

Joshua had 28 packets of lollies and he wanted to share between 7 friends. How many will each of his friend get?

287=4 because 4x7=28

4.12x10

Natalia had 12 bags of lollies and in each bags there are 10 lollies. How many lollies does she have altogether?

12x10=120

10x10=100

2x10=20

100+20=120 lollies

Linda bought 34 Rubbers . She wanted to share it between herself and her best friend . How many rubbers will each of them get?

½ of 34 =

½ of 30=15

½ of 4=2

15+2=17 Rubbers

Malo Lelei my name is Sarah and I am 9 years old and I go to Glen Innes Primary School. I am a year 5 student and I am also in Room 10.I am a Tongan  and I am really proud to be one. I really like hanging out with my family and going on picnics and road trips. My favourite country is Tonga because I have been there once before and I really like it there. I love funny movies and I really like going to the Museum because they get to show me what happened along time ago and what happened before I came to earth. I love going to school because I get to see my friends and I also get to see all of the lovely teachers. My favourite subject at school  are Maths,Reading and Writing. I can’t pick one because I really like all of them. My favourite  colours are red and white. I have 9 best friends and they are Heather,Jenacsia,Lakai,Natalia,Kuraia,Tuakana,Angel,Nipa,

Trinity and Ferri. They are such my closest friends and I could tell them anything and they will have to keep it to themselves. I love hanging out with my friends because they are funny and smart and that’s why I love going to school is to learn and see my friends. That is all about me and I hope you enjoy it.
