The reason why I decided to adopt a Great spotted kiwi is because they are one of the most known birds in New Zealand and Native. Kiwis are all flightless birds native to the jungles and the forests of New Zealand. Kiwi's have a highly developed sense of smell, however kiwis are the only creatures that have nostrils at the end of their becks. Kiwis like to eat seeds, grubs and numerous of worms. They also may eat fruit, small crayfish, eels, and amphibians. These creatures mostly live in the northern half of the south island They are found almost as far as Grey mouth, Arthur's Pass and North Canterbury. These creatures are amazing.
