Winter Learning Journey Bonus Activity

I think we should stop fishing at Farewell Spit because:
Fishing at farewell spit is harmful for the native fish and most importantly the hector dolphins. They are suffering from the people fishing and getting them stuck into nets that they may even die. That area is a sacred place for native sea creatures and also for the Maori. The Maori thinks that place is really important and we should all respect that. Hector Dolphins are already suffering from the pollution's we have from our oceans don't you think they had enough. Help our community and stop fishing in Farewell Spit.

Hey Sarah!

I totally agree, we need to stop fishing there for so many reasons!

There are also so many other places peele can fish where nothing will be harmed!
